The Source of the Revelations

1. The "Word" speaks to you, the same Word that was always in God, the same that was in Christ, and which you know today through the Holy Spirit; for the "Word" is Word, is Law, is Message, is Revelation, is Wisdom. If you have heard the "Word" through the words of Christ and now receive it through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit—truly, I tell you, it is the voice of God that you have heard. For there is only one God, only one Word, and only one Holy Spirit. (13:19)

2. Do you know what the origin is of that light which lies in the words spoken through the lips of the messengers? Its origin is in the Good, in divine love, in the Universal Light that emanates from God. It is a ray or a spark of that Universal Light that gives you life—it is part of the infinite power that moves everything and through which everything vibrates, pulsates, and ceaselessly follows its course. It is what you call divine radiance; it is the light of the Divine Spirit, which enlightens and enlivens souls. (329, 42)

3. At this very moment, He who has always come to your rescue speaks to you: Christ, the divine promise, made man in Jesus in the "Second Era," the Divine Word made human; the Spirit of love, of light, of wisdom, concentrated in a ray that touches the spirit, the soul, and the mind of man to teach him to convey My thoughts. (90, 33)

4. I am Christ, whom they have persecuted, blasphemed, and made the accused in this world. After all that you have done to Me in the "Second Era" in Jesus, I come to you to prove to you once more that I have forgiven you and love you.

5. You nailed Me to the cross naked, and in the same way I return to you; for I do not hide My Spirit and My Truth from your eyes behind the veil of hypocrisy or lies. Yet, in order that you may recognize Me, you must first purify your hearts. (29, 27-28)

6. Today I say to you: Here is the Master—the one whom people called the Rabbi from Galilee. I give you the eternally valid teaching, the teaching of love. The feast to which I invite you today is spiritual, as are the bread and the wine. But today, as in the past and as always, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (68, 33)

The Places of Revelation and Recipients of the Revelations

7. Remember that I am the "Word" of the Father; that the divine essence you receive in this Word is light from this Creative Spirit; that I have left a part of My Spirit within each of you.

8. Yet when you see the poverty that surrounds the crowd listening to Me right now, and the modesty of the room in which you are gathered, you ask Me silently: "Master, why did You not choose for Your manifestation at this time one of those great temples or cathedrals, where rich altars and solemn ceremonies worthy of You could have been offered to You?"

9. I respond to those hearts that think this way about their Master: It is not people who have led Me to this poverty. I Myself have chosen this humble dwelling in the poor suburb of your city as the setting for My message, so that you may understand that it is not material tribute or outward offerings that I seek from you, but on the contrary: I have returned precisely to preach humility once more, so that you may find spiritualization in it. (36, 24-25)

10. Some do not believe in My presence because they hold against it the poverty and modesty of these gathering places and the unassuming nature of the messengers through whom I make Myself known. Yet if those who doubt in this way were to study the life of Christ, they would realize that He never sought pomp, homage, or riches.

11. These places may be as humble and meager as the stable and the straw on which I was born at that time. (226, 38-39)

12. Do not think that I chose this nation for My new manifestation only at the last hour. Everything was already ordained from eternity. This land, this race, your souls were prepared by Me, just as the time of My presence was also predetermined by My will.

13. I decided to begin My manifestations among the least of these, among those who kept their minds and souls pure. Afterward, I allowed all to come to Me, for at My table there are neither distinctions nor preferences. My Word sent down to this people was simple and humble in form, accessible to you, yet its meaning, full of clarity, was profound for your spirit, because although I am the repository of all knowledge, I always express and reveal Myself simply and clearly. I am a mystery to no one; the secret and the mystery are children of your ignorance. (87, 11-12)

14. The first ones who listened to Me treated My work like a tree, cutting off the first branches to transplant them into different regions. Some interpreted My teachings well; others strayed from the path.

15. Small were the groups that gathered in the shade of the humble meeting places. But as these grew in number and the crowds of people increased, I called upon them to unite, so that all might recognize themselves as disciples of a single Master and practice the teaching in the same manner; so that the seed might be sown not according to the whims of the "workers,"* but in accordance with the divine will.

* Reference to Jesus' parable of the "laborers in the vineyard."

16. Before the Spiritual Ark of the New Covenant, the multitudes vowed submission, obedience, and good will; but when the hurricanes and cyclones broke in with force and lashed the branches of the tree, some grew weak, while others remained steadfast and taught the new "laborers" to cultivate the "fields."

17. Some who had recognized the greatness of this revelation intended to delve deeper into my mysteries than is my will, in order to acquire knowledge and power that would make them superior to others; yet very soon they faced my justice.

18. Others, who could not perceive the greatness of this work in its purity and simplicity, have adopted rites, symbols, and ceremonies from sects and churches, believing that this would lend solemnity to my revelations. (234, 27–30)

19. Since this revelation began to unfold, your spirit has been enlightened by my teaching, even though unbelievers have also appeared—both among those who have trained their minds and among the uneducated and the ignorant.

20. How many arguments to deny this revelation! How many attempts to destroy this Word! Yet nothing has halted the course of my message—on the contrary: the more this work has been opposed, the more people's faith has been kindled, and the more time has passed, the greater has become the number of those through whom I convey my Word.

21. What is to be learned from this? That human power will never be able to prevent divine power from carrying out its decrees.

22. When the people gathered within these places of assembly, they always did so without fear of the world, always full of trust in My presence and My protection, and I proved to them that their faith was based on truth. (329, 28–30, 37)

23. A new band of apostles arose within this community, consisting of simple and humble hearts, yet filled with love and faith to follow Me. Of course, among them there was no lack of a new Thomas, who had to see in order to believe in My presence—a new Peter, who, though he believed in Me, would deny Me out of fear of men, and a new Judas Iscariot, who would betray Me by selling My Word and My truth for money and flattery.

24. The multitudes that make up this people continued to multiply and spread out across cities, regions, and villages; and from this people arose apostles of truth and righteousness, self-sacrificing workers full of zeal for their Lord's teaching, and prophets with pure hearts who spoke the truth. (213, 72–73)

25. In My new revelation, I have changed everything: the places and the means of proclamation, in order to eliminate the ignorance, error, and misinterpretation that were attributed to My earlier revelations. Just as the sun rises in the east and you see it at its highest point at noon, only to watch it set in the west, so has the light of My Spirit moved from east to west over time, so that you may not limit My glory and My power to specific places, people, or races. (110, 9)

26. It is enough for Me that a few hear Me, for they will bear witness to this among their fellow men tomorrow. I know that if I had summoned all people, most would not have come, for they are occupied with the affairs of the world. They would deny Me and prevent people of good will from coming to hear Me.

27. Here, in the seclusion of these insignificant places where I reveal Myself, I let My seed sprout. I unite the simple hearts into communities, and when they are thus removed from the clamor of materialistic life, I speak to them of love, the Eternal, the Spirit, and true human and spiritual values, thereby causing them to view life through the Spirit and not through the senses.

28. I call these childlike hearts disciples, and they, who have never possessed anything, who have never been noticed by their neighbors, have been filled with satisfaction at having been called by Me and have risen to a new life . They have risen with the conviction and elation that they can be of service to their neighbors, because the Lord has placed His revelations within them and shown them the way of love.

29. Some may deny them and mock them because they call themselves disciples of Jesus—yet truly, I tell you, even if this grace is denied them, they will continue to be My disciples. (191, 33-36)

30. The world awaits My voice calling it; the human heart, though dead to faith, expects the voice of Christ to draw near and say to it, "Arise and walk."

31. The "dead," the "blind," the sick, and the outcasts form a very great multitude. I will come to them, for those who suffer spiritually or physically are most receptive to My presence. The great ones of the world—those who possess power, riches, and worldly glories—do not believe they need Me and do not expect Me: What could Christ possibly give them, since they claim to already have everything? Perhaps some spiritual goods or a place in eternity? That does not interest them!

32. That is why I sought out these multitudes of the poor and the sick in body and soul, to proclaim My teaching among them; for they longed for Me, they sought Me. So it was only natural that they sensed My presence when the time came to reveal Myself anew to humanity. (291, 32–34)

The Transmission of Divine Revelations

33. Whoever doubts this revelation through the human faculty of reason behaves as if denying his status of superiority over other creatures—as if denying his own spirit and refusing to become aware of the spiritual and intellectual level he has attained through countless trials, sufferings, and struggles.

34. To deny that I reveal Myself through your intellectual faculties or your spirit is to deny yourself and to place yourself in the position of the lower creatures.

35. Who does not know that man is a child of God? Who does not know that he carries a soul within himself? Why then not believe that there must be one or more ways for the Father and His children to communicate with one another?

36. Since I am Intelligence, I address you through your intellectual faculties; since I am Spirit, I address your spirit. But how can those who deny My revelation comprehend and accept this truth if they have never wished to regard and recognize Me as Spirit? In their hearts they have developed many erroneous views, such as those who, at , believe that I am a divine being in human form who must be represented by symbols and images in order to connect with Me through them.

37. Over the centuries, people who sought Me in this way have grown accustomed to the silence of the images and sculptures before which they pray and perform rituals, and in their hearts the belief has gradually taken root that no one is worthy to see, hear, or feel God. By saying that I am infinitely too exalted to draw near to humanity, they believe they are paying Me an admiring homage. Yet they are mistaken; for whoever claims that I am too great to concern Myself with creatures as small as human beings is an ignorant person who denies the most beautiful thing My Spirit has revealed to you: humility.

38. If you believe in Christ, if you claim to be Christians, you must not harbor such absurd notions as thinking that you are not worthy of your Lord drawing near to you. Have you forgotten that your Christian faith itself is based on that proof of divine love when the "Word" of God became flesh? What more tangible and human approach could have better met the comprehension of sinful and carnal people with darkened souls and weak minds than that in which I let them hear My divine voice, made into human speech?

39. This was the greatest proof of love, humility, and compassion for humanity, which I sealed with blood so that you might always keep in mind that no one is unworthy of Me, since it was precisely for the sake of those who were most lost in the mire, in darkness, and in vice that I caused My Word to become flesh and shed the life-giving blood of My body.

40. Why, then, do precisely those who believe all this now deny My presence and My message? Why do they seek to claim that this is not possible, because God is infinite and man is far too lowly, far too insignificant, and unworthy? Truly, I tell you, whoever denies My revelation in this time also denies My presence in the world during that "Second Time" and also denies My love and My humility.

41. For you, the sinners, it is only natural that you feel distant from Me in your sin. I, on the other hand, feel that the more transgressions you commit and the more you defile your soul, the more necessary it is for Me to turn to you, to give you the light, to reach out My hand to you, to heal and save you.

42. I knew that if I were to reveal Myself to My children once more, many would deny Me, and that is why I announced My return even then; but at the same time, I made it clear that My presence would then be spiritual. Yet if you doubt this, be assured by the testimony of those four disciples who recorded My words in the Gospels, as found at .

43. Here I am in the Spirit, sending you My Word from the luminous "cloud" and making it human through these mouthpieces—as a preparatory instruction for that revelation to which you are all to arrive: the dialogue from Spirit to Spirit. (331, 1-10, 13)

44. The divine thoughts have been translated into words through my voice-bearers in ecstasy, which, united into sentences, have formed and established a spiritual teaching, 64 Chapter 4 which is full of revelations and perfect teachings.

45. This is the promised Comforter; this is that announced Spirit of Truth who would teach you all things. The preparation is already beginning; the times are coming when you will need Him who, because He possesses strength in His Spirit, will guide you with the nobility and simplicity of His heart, with wisdom and mercy. (54, 51–52)

46. My teaching comes to you to bring light to your minds. Yet do not be surprised by the manner in which I have come to you at this time; do not be confused by it, yet do not let it become routine either.

47. When My Divine Light reaches the intellect of the person who serves as My voice, it is condensed into vibrations that are transformed into words of wisdom and love. How many rungs of the heavenly ladder must My Spirit descend to reach you in this form! And I also had to send you My "Spiritual World" so that it might provide you with a detailed explanation of My teachings. (168, 48)

48. I reveal Myself through the human organ of the mind, for the brain is the "apparatus" perfectly created by the Creator so that intelligence—which is the light of the soul—may be revealed within it.

49. This "apparatus" is a model that you can never replicate with all your science. You will use its form and structure as a model for your creations; but you will never attain the perfection that the works of your Father possess. Why then do you doubt that I can use what I have created? (262, 40-41)

50. At all times, My love as a Master has been carefully attuned to the instruction that people needed, and I have always come to them to speak in accordance with their spiritual maturity and intellectual development.

51. I have come to you because I have seen that the human word and the teachings you have created do not quench the burning thirst of your soul—thirst for light, thirst for truth, for eternity, and for love. That is why I have taken up residence among you and make use of humble, un , and uneducated people, causing them to fall into the ecstasy of mind and soul, so that the message of the "Third Era" may flow from their lips.

52. To be worthy of receiving and transmitting My divine thoughts, they had to fight against materialization and the temptations of the world. In this way, by suppressing their own personalities and chastising their vanity, they achieved a complete surrender of their being during the brief moments in which they offered their intellectual faculties to divine inspiration, thus enabling a word full of wisdom, tenderness, justice, balm, and peace to flow from their lips.

53. There will always be those who cannot comprehend how it is that the messengers can express so much knowledge in words and pour out so much life-essence upon the spirits of the listening multitudes without My Spirit descending upon those minds, and with only a ray of My light illuminating them. To this I say to you that even the King Star—as you call the sun—has no need to come to Earth to illuminate it, since the light it sends from a distance to your planet is sufficient to bathe it in light, warmth, and life.

54. Likewise, the Spirit of the Father, like a sun of infinite radiance, illuminates and enlivens all through the light He sends down upon all creatures—both spiritual and material.

55. Understand, then, that where my light is, there my Spirit is also present. (91, 12–16)

56. It is a spark of light from My Spirit, a reflection of the divine Word, that descends upon the spirit of the voice-bearer through whom I make My message audible to you. What human voice-bearer could receive the full power of the "Word"? None. And truly, I tell you, you do not yet know what the "Word" is.

57. The "Word" is life, is love, is the Word of God, yet of all this the voice-bearer can receive but a single atom. But here, in that ray of light, in that essence, you will be able to discover the Infinite, the Absolute, the Eternal.

58. To speak of Myself, I can do so through both great works and through small and limited manifestations. I am in all things; everything speaks of Me; the great and the small are equally perfect. Man need only know how to observe, reflect, and study. (284, 2-3)

59. My "Word" has not become human again. In this time, I am "on the cloud," the symbol of the Hereafter, from which My ray emanates, illuminating the mind of the voice-bearer.

60. It has pleased Me to communicate Myself through man, and My decision is final. I know man, for I created him. I consider him worthy, for he is My child, for he came forth from Me . I can make use of him, for that is why I created him, and I can reveal My glory through him, because I created him to glorify Myself in him.

61. Man! He is in My image, because he is intelligence, life, consciousness, and will; because he possesses something of all My attributes, and his spirit belongs to eternity.

62. Often you are more insignificant than you have believed, and at other times you are greater than you can imagine. (217, 15-18)

63. If you reflect a little and study the Scriptures, you will realize that all the prophets expressed a single spiritual message, which they conveyed to humanity through their words. They gave people admonitions, revelations, and messages, free from the errors of the materialistic worship practiced by the people in those times. They taught obedience to the Law and the Word of God, and they helped people connect with their Heavenly Father.

64. People, do you not find a great similarity between those prophets and these messengers through whom I am speaking to you at this time? I also place the essence of My Law upon the lips of the latter; through their words My inspiration reaches you, and from them the teaching radiantly flows forth, urging the listeners to seek their Lord in the purest way. They speak without fear that among the many who listen to them there may also be spies or fanatics. They devotedly fulfill their task in the service of their Father, so that through them He may speak to humanity and give it these teachings that will open new paths of light for people.

65. People, there is not only a great similarity between those prophets and these messengers, but there is also a perfect connection between them. Those prophets foretold these, and what they predicted long ago is now being experienced by these servants. (162, 9-11)

66. Not all of My messengers were able or willing to prepare themselves to serve Me, and often I had to send My light down upon impure minds that were occupied with useless, if not sinful, things. Through their transgression, they have brought My justice upon themselves, for their minds were deprived of all inspiration and their lips of all eloquence to express the divine message.

67. In these cases, the assembly of listeners has closed its ears to those meager utterances, but has instead opened its soul to feel My presence within and to receive My essence. The people fed on the essence that my mercy sent them in that moment; but the speaker prevented a message that did not come from his lips, and thus compelled those present to converse with their Master from spirit to spirit, even though they were not yet prepared to receive my inspiration in this form. (294, 49)

The Form of the Revelations

68. The Master's teaching always begins in the same way, for it contains the same love. It begins in love and ends in mercy—two words in which my entire teaching is contained. It is these lofty sentiments that give the soul the strength to reach the regions of light and truth. (159, 26)

69. You might say that the outward form of the language in which I spoke in the "Second Era" and the one I use now are different, and in part you would be right. For Jesus spoke to you then with the expressions and idioms of the peoples among whom He lived, just as I do today in regard to the mindset of those who hear My Word. But the spiritual content conveyed by that Word, given then and now, is the same, is one and the same, is unchanging. Yet this has gone unnoticed by many whose hearts are hardened and whose minds are closed. (247, 56)

70. O unbelievers! Come and listen to Me often; My Word will overcome your doubts. If you have the impression that the style of My Word is not the same as it once was, I tell you that you should not cling to the form, to the outward appearance, but should seek the meaning, which is the same.

71. The essence, the meaning, is always only one, because the Divine is eternal and unchanging; but the form in which the revelation comes to you, or through which I make known to you another part of the truth, always manifests itself in harmony with the receptivity or the level of development you have attained. (262, 45)

The Presence of Beings from the Beyond During Christ's Teachings

72. Truly, I tell you, in the moments when My Word illuminates the human mind, thousands upon thousands of disembodied beings are present here during My manifestation and listen to My Word; their number is always greater than that of those who are present in the material world. Like you, they are slowly emerging from the darkness to enter the realm of light. (213, 16)

73. You hear this Word of Mine on Earth through human intellect, and on higher planes of existence than yours, the inhabitants of those realms—other souls—hear it as well; just as the spiritual beings of other, even higher planes of existence, who are at home there, hear it. For this "concert" that the Father performs with the spirits of light in the "Third Era" is universal.

74. I have said it: My Ray is universal, My Word and My spiritual essence (contained therein) are likewise universal, and even at the highest level that spirits have attained, they hear Me. You are currently hearing Me in this revelation in the most imperfect way, which is that of man.

75. Therefore, I am now preparing you for higher revelations, so that when you enter the spiritual realm and leave this earth entirely, you may then unite with a new stage of life to hear the "concert" that the Father performs together with your spirit.

76. Today you are still in the material world; let your heart and spirit be refreshed by this Word, and those beings who belonged to you on earth—whom you still call father, husband, wife, brother, child, relative, or friend—are on other levels of life and hear the same Word; yet for them its meaning, its essence, is different, even though they enjoy the same joy, the same refreshment, the same encouragement, and the same bread. (345, 81-82)

77. I send a ray of My light to every world. To you I have sent this light in the form of human words, just as it reaches other abodes through inspiration.

78. In the light of that divine ray, all spirits will unite, making of it a ladder to heaven that leads them to the same point, to the Spiritual Kingdom promised to all of you who are spiritual particles of My Divinity. (303, 13-14)

The Temporal Limitation of the Revelations

79. My Kingdom descends upon suffering humanity, and My Word resounds through the chosen ones of this time, so that those who hear Me may become a comfort to their fellow men.

80. In all ages I have had mediators between humanity and My Divinity; they were the meek and humble of heart, of whom I have made use. I am now preparing the new messengers of My teachings so that this Good News may be the awakening to spiritual life among humanity.

81. How many of those who are capable of fulfilling a noble spiritual mission still slumber, scattered throughout the world! They will awaken, and they will demonstrate their spiritual progress when, through the generosity of their feelings, they become useful beings to their neighbors. They will be humble and will never boast of their superiority. (230, 61–63)

82. My work must reach humanity unadulterated, so that it may set out to fulfill My Law by embracing the cross of its redemption.

83. I have promised this to humanity, to all of mankind, and I will fulfill it, for My Word is that of a King; through My disciples, I will send them the golden wheat of My Word, and this will serve as preparation for humanity so that they may soon rejoice in the dialogue from spirit to spirit. For after 1950, I will no longer make Myself known through the mental faculties of a medium, neither here nor in any other place. (291, 43-44)
