The Effect of the Revelations

1. Here, in the presence of this Word, there is no person who does not tremble within and without, that is, in spirit and in the flesh. As he listens to Me here, he thinks of life, of death, of Divine Justice, of eternity, of spiritual life, of good, and of evil.

2. As he hears My voice, he feels the presence of his soul within himself, and he remembers where he comes from.

3. In the brief moment that he listens to Me, he feels at one with all his neighbors and recognizes them in the depths of his being as his true brothers and sisters, as brothers and sisters in spiritual eternity, who are even closer to him than those who are so only in the flesh, since the flesh is only temporary on earth.

4. There is no man or woman who, when they hear Me, does not feel observed by Me. Therefore, no one dares to hide or gloss over their blemishes before Me. And I make them aware of them, yet without publicly exposing anyone, for I am a Judge who never exposes.

5. I tell you that I discover among you adulterers, infanticides, thieves, vices, and infirmities that are like leprosy on the souls of those who have sinned. Yet I prove to you not only the truth of My Word by showing you that I am able to uncover the transgressions of your hearts. I also wish to prove to you the power of My teachings by giving you the weapons to overcome evil and temptation, by teaching you how to achieve renewal, and by awakening within your being a desire for what is good, noble, and pure, and an absolute aversion to all that is base, false, and harmful to the soul. (145, 93 65-68)

6. Today you still live in the gloomy days that precede the light. And yet—by making use of the small clearings in your misty sky, that light penetrates with fleeting rays that reach certain points on earth, touching hearts and causing souls to tremble and awaken.

7. All who were surprised by this light have paused on their path and asked, "Who are you?" And I have answered them: "I , am the light of the world; I am the light of eternity; I am the truth and the love. I am the One who promised to return to speak to you, the One of whom it was said that He is the 'Word' of God."

8. Like Saul on the road to Damascus, they have humbled all their pride, subdued their arrogance, and humbly bowed their heads to say to Me with all their hearts: "My Father and Lord, forgive me; now I realize that I have persecuted You without knowing it!"

9. From that moment on, these hearts became little followers; for in this "Third Era," no apostle has appeared among My new disciples to this day with the devotion of the one who persecuted Me so fiercely in My disciples and who thereafter loved Me with such fervor. (279, 21–24)

10. The churches have sunk into a centuries-long slumber of routine and stagnation, while the truth has remained hidden. Yet those who know the commandments of Jehovah and the Word of the Divine Master must recognize in this voice that speaks to you now the voice of the Spirit of Truth, which was promised for these times. (92, 71)

11. I know that many will be outraged when they come to know this word; but they will be those who, in their spiritual confusion, refuse to acknowledge that, besides human nature, the spiritual part of the being also exists within man—or those who, though they believe in the human soul, are bound by the customs of their traditions and their religious convictions and deny that there is an infinitely long path of development for the soul. (305, 65)

12. I will leave these words written down, and they will reach my disciples of the future, and when they study them, they will find them fresh and alive, and their spirit will tremble with delight, for they will feel that it is their Master who is speaking to them at that moment.

13. Do you think that all that I have told you is meant only for those who have listened to Me? No, beloved people, with My word I speak to those present and to those absent, for today, for tomorrow, and for all time; for those who die, for the living, and for those yet to be born. (97, 45-46)

Insight and Hope from the New Word

14. I am the Word of love that brings comfort to those who suffer—to the troubled, the weeping, the sinner, and the one who has sought Me. My Word is the river of life in those hearts, where they quench their thirst and wash away their impurities. It is also the path that leads to the eternal home of rest and peace.

15. How can you come to believe that the struggle of life—its sacrifices, adversities, and trials—ends with death, without finding a just reward in eternity? Therefore, My Law and My Teaching, with their revelations and promises, are in your hearts the incentive, the comfort, and the balm during your daily work. Only when you turn away from my teachings do you feel hungry and weak. (229, 3-4)

16. In My divine love for human beings, I allow them to explore My works and make use of all creation, so that they may never have cause to claim that God is unjust because He hides His wisdom from His children.

17. I created you and bestowed upon you the gift of free will, and I have respected it, even though man has abused this freedom and thereby wounded Me and desecrated My law.

18. Yet today I let him feel the caress of My forgiveness and enlighten his soul with the light of My wisdom, so that one of My children after another may return to the path of truth.

19. The Spirit of Truth, which is My light, shines within the spirit, for you live in the foretold times when every mystery will be revealed to you, so that you may understand what has not been properly interpreted until now. (104, 9-10)

20. I have made Myself known at this point on Earth and will leave My Word as a gift for all people. This gift will eliminate the spiritual poverty of humanity. (95, 58)

21. I will instill in all the true way of worshiping God and also the right way to live in harmony with the Divine Law, the fulfillment of which is the only thing the Lord will hold each of you accountable for.

22. Finally, you will recognize the content or meaning of My Word, O you people. Then you will discover that My teaching is not only the divine voice speaking to humanity, but also the expression of all spirits.

23. My Word is the voice that encourages, is the cry for freedom, is the saving anchor. (281, 13-15)

The Power of the Word of God

24. My teaching develops the human being in all aspects of his being: it sensitizes and refines the heart*, awakens and deepens the mind, and perfects and elevates the soul.

* The terms "heart" and "soul" have different meanings in Christ's revelations: "Heart" (Spanish "corazón") symbolizes the earthly– , human, and body-dependent life of the soul, which is the subject of psychology, while "soul" (here "espíritu") denotes the higher, eternal aspect of the soul, which is guided by the divine spark inherent within it—the Spirit—through its "voice," the conscience.

25. Make a thorough study of my teachings, enabling you to understand the proper way to apply my instructions, so that your development may be harmonious; so that you do not merely develop the intellect without striving for the ideals of the soul, which you are meant to inspire.

26. All the faculties of your being can find in My Word the luminous path upon which they may grow and perfect themselves to infinity. (176, 25–27)

27. My teaching is spiritual in its essence; it is light and power that flows down and penetrates your soul to enable it to triumph in its struggle against evil. My Word is not meant merely to flatter the ears; it is the light of the soul.

28. Do you wish to hear Me with your soul, so that it may be nourished and make use of the meaning of this teaching? Then purify your heart, clear your mind, and allow your conscience to guide you. You will then experience how a transformation begins to take effect within your being—not only spiritually, but also morally and physically. That elevation which the soul gradually attains through knowledge—that purity which it gradually achieves—will be reflected in the feelings of the heart and in the health of the body.

29. Passions will grow ever weaker, vices will gradually disappear, and fanaticism and ignorance will increasingly give way to true faith and the profound insights found in My Law. (284, 21–23)

30. This teaching, known only to a few and ignored by humanity, will soon reach all who suffer as a healing balm to offer comfort, to kindle faith, to dispel darkness, and to instill hope. It lifts you above sin, misery, pain, and death.

31. It could not be otherwise, for it is I, the Divine Physician, the promised Comforter, who have revealed this to you. (295, 30-31)

32. Once you are spiritualized and then encounter people who are suffering and despairing because they cannot possess what they strive for in the world, you will see how their materialism contrasts with the elevation of My disciples, whose contentment will be great because their aspirations and desires will be noble, founded on the firm conviction that in this life everything is transitory.

33. My disciples will speak to the world through examples of spirituality—through a life that strives to bring the soul closer to the Divine, rather than chaining it to the false treasures of the world.

34. I know that the materialists will be outraged in the times to come when they come to know this teaching; but their conscience will tell them that My Word alone speaks the truth. (275, 5-7)

35. In the great work that awaits you, I will be your support. My teaching will cause great upheavals in the world. There will be great changes in customs and ideas, and even in nature transformations will take place. All this will signal the beginning of a new era for humanity, and the souls whom I will soon send to Earth will speak of all these prophecies to contribute to the restoration and upward development of this world. They will explain My Word and interpret the events. (216, 27)

36. This "Third Age" is a time of resurrection. The souls were like the dead, and their bodies like graves. But the Master has come to them, whose Word of Life said to them: "Come forth and rise up toward the light, toward freedom!"

37. Whoever among them opens his eyes to the truth and is then able to elevate his life, his works, and his feelings in love toward his fellow human beings will no longer regard this world as a place of exile or a valley of tears and atonement, for he will increasingly feel the joy of true peace, which the peace of the soul bestows.

38. That state of elation in this life will be a reflection of the perfect peace and light that the soul will enjoy in better worlds, where I Myself will receive it to grant it a home worthy of its merits. (286, 13)

Reactions from Theologians and Materialists

39. Do not be dismayed if you are told that the one who has spoken to you in this time was the tempter, and that it has been prophesied that he, too, would perform miracles through which he himself would disturb and confuse the chosen ones. Truly, I tell you, many of those who judge My message in this way will belong to those who are actually in the service of evil and darkness, even if their lips seek to assure you that they always spread the truth.

40. Do not forget that a tree is known by its fruit, and I tell you: The fruit is this Word, which has become audible to the understanding of these messengers—men and women of simple hearts. By the fruit and by the spiritual progress of those who have partaken of it, humanity will recognize the tree that I am.

41. The Trinitarian-Marian spiritual work will begin to spread, thereby causing a true alarm among many who, convinced that they have studied and understood the teaching they once received from the Father, have become conceited in their knowledge of their philosophies and sciences, without becoming aware of the spiritual development that humanity has attained.

42. Upon awakening from their spiritual lethargy, they will notice the way in which the human spirit thinks and feels today; they will hurl curses against what they will call "new ideas," and will spread the notion that this movement has been brought about by the Antichrist.

43. Then they will take refuge in the Scriptures, the prophecies, and My Word, which I gave you in the "Second Era," to try to oppose My new revelation, My new teachings, and all that I have promised you and am fulfilling today.

44. My Word will reach even those who do not accept anything beyond the material or that which lies outside the knowledge and concepts they once adopted, through the lips of My disciples and through the Scriptures, and they will call Me a false God because I have brought you this Word.

45. Yet when you hear this, your faith will not be shipwrecked—though your heart may feel wounded—for with inner conviction you will recall that your Master had already foretold this to you and encouraged you with His Word to endure these trials.

46. I tell you, however: Although you will encounter deceit, hypocrisy, superstition, religious fanaticism, and idolatry along your path, you must not condemn anyone for their transgressions. Teach them with My Word and leave the matter to Me, for I am the only One who may judge you and who knows who the false god, the false Christ, the evil apostle, and the hypocritical Pharisee are. (27:32–35)

47. The war of ideas, creeds, religions, teachings, philosophies, theories, and sciences will come, and My name and My teaching will be on everyone's lips. My return will be discussed and rejected, and thereafter the great believers will rise up and proclaim that Christ has once again been among humanity. At that time, I will encourage those hearts from infinity and perform miracles along their paths to strengthen their faith. (146, 8)

The Effect of the Spiritual Teaching

48. As My light has spread throughout the world, it has caused people to seek My truth in every teaching. This is the reason for the behavior of people in their various religious beliefs.

49. It is the fulfillment of what has been prophesied. Which of them represents the truth? Who hides the hungry wolf in sheep's clothing? Who, clad in pure garments, assures of his absolute inner purity?

50. You must apply Spiritualism to discover My truth; for humanity has divided itself into as many creeds and worldviews as corresponded to the development of human thought.

51. Thus, more and more sects and denominations have formed, and it will be very difficult for you to judge the truth contained in each of them.

52. My teaching enlightens the thoughts and ideas of people, and little by little everyone will grasp the foundations for perfecting their works and directing them toward a more perfect and higher path.

53. The time will come when every sect and church will examine itself to seek what belongs to My work. Yet to find that treasure, it will be necessary for them to elevate their souls and listen to the voice of the Spirit. (363, 4-8, 29)

54. There are many religious communities on this earth, but none of them will unite people or cause them to love one another. It will be My spiritual teaching that accomplishes this work. In vain will the world oppose the advance of this light.

55. When the persecution of My disciples is at its fiercest, the forces of nature will be unleashed; but they will be appeased by the prayer of these My workers, so that the world may witness a demonstration of the authority I have given them. (243, 30)

56. The world will be thrown into turmoil when My Word is heard among the nations, for the soul of the person prepared for this revelation will be moved by joy and at the same time by fear. Then, let the one who wishes to know the truth free himself from the bondage of his materialistic notions and refresh himself in the luminous horizons that present themselves to his gaze. Yet those who persist in the darkness of their souls and in their struggle against this light still have the freedom to do so.

57. The shift toward spirituality will bring about friendship and brotherhood among the nations. Yet it is necessary that you prepare yourselves, for the conflict will be great. When people rise up against one another in wars, this does not happen because it is My will, but because they have not understood the law of God. (249, 47-48)

58. The time of the universal judgment has come, and all works and all religious communities will be judged by Me. A cry of anguish will escape from the human soul, for all that is false will be exposed; truth alone will shine forth. There will be an awakening among humanity, and then people will say to Me: "Father, give us Your help, give us a true light to guide us." And that light and that help will be the teaching of the Holy Spirit; it will be the instruction I have given you and which also belongs to all of them, for I am the Father of all. (347, 27)

The Significance of the New Word of Revelation

59. On the surface, this revelation contains nothing spectacular, but in the future you will yet experience the significance it will have among humanity.

60. Among this people there are disciples of every kind; some sense the greatness of this work and already feel the upheaval that its appearance in the world will cause; others are content to believe that this is a good path, and there are also those who cannot discern the greatness of this teaching and who doubt its victory and its entry into the hearts of men. I tell you, it is a jewel that I have entrusted to you, whose divine rays of light you have refused to recognize because you have not fathomed My teaching. I have told you that the light shines brightest in the darkness, and likewise, in this age of materialism and sin, you will see the truth I have brought you shine in all its brilliance.

61. Do not forget that even in His time, people doubted the words of Christ, for they judged Jesus by His origins and His clothing; and when they learned that He was the son of a carpenter from Nazareth and a poor woman—who would later set out, accompanied by poor Galilean fishermen, to preach a teaching that seemed strange to them — they could not believe that this itinerant preacher, who went from village to village and displayed the meagerness of his clothing, was the King whom the Lord had promised to the people of Israel.

62. I give you these hints because people seek the outward splendor that dazzles the senses in order to believe in the greatness of that which is to be seen and felt only with the spirit.

63. I had to shed my blood, give my life, and rise again so that people might open their eyes. What cup must my Spirit now drink so that you may believe in Me? Humanity: What would I not do to see you saved? (89, 68–69; 71, 73)

64. Whoever claims that My teaching is a danger to humanity's material progress is making a grave mistake. I, the Master of all masters, show humanity the path to its upward development and to true progress. My Word speaks not only to the spirit; it also speaks to the mind, to reason, and even to the senses. My teaching not only inspires and instructs you in spiritual life, but it also sheds light on every science and every path. For my instruction is not limited to guiding all souls toward the home that lies beyond this existence; it also reaches the human heart and inspires one to lead a pleasant, dignified, and useful life on this planet. (173, 44)

65. The "Third Era" in which you now live is the time of the revelation of great mysteries. Scholars and theologians will have to correct their knowledge in light of the truth that I am currently revealing to you.

66. This is the time when people are to open their eyes to the light of My wisdom—a light that I have transformed into a teaching so that through it you may spiritually rise to true life. (290, 51-52)

67. People will try to deny the truth of My revelation, but the facts, the evidence, and the events will speak for this truth and bear witness to it, which will come from the lips of My people as the great message of the "Third Era." And My teaching will also spread throughout the world through writings, for this is a legitimate means that I have inspired in My messengers from the earliest times. I only want you to watch over my truth and pass it on to hearts in the purest and simplest way. (258, 6)

68. In that "Second Era," my coming as a human being was believed by only a few hearts. Nevertheless, humanity later designated the birth of the Savior as the beginning of a new era. Likewise, in this time, the beginning of My revelation to you—that is, My coming as the Holy Spirit—will be established tomorrow as the beginning of yet another era. 69. Listen to what Christ tells you, the embodiment of Divine Love: Peace to people of good will, to those who love the truth and sow the seed of love. (258, 41-43).
