fr-Chapter 22 - God's Love, Care and Mercy

02/04/2024

The Love of the Heavenly Father

1. Do not be surprised that my love follows you everywhere despite your sins. You are all my children. In this world, you have had a reflection of divine love in the love of your parents. You may turn your backs on them, refuse to acknowledge their authority, disobey their commands, and ignore their advice; you may wound their hearts with your evil deeds, cause their eyes to dry up from so much weeping, bring white hair to their temples, and mark their faces with the traces of suffering; yet they will never cease to love you, and they will have only blessings and forgiveness for you.

2. Yet if these parents whom you have had on earth—and who are not perfect—have given you such great proofs of a pure and sublime love, why are you surprised that He who created these hearts and gave them the task of being parents loves you with perfect love?—Love is the highest truth. For the sake of truth, I became human, and for the sake of truth, I died as a human. (52, 27)

3. My love should not astonish you, yet do not doubt it either when you experience that you often drink from a very bitter cup in the world.

4. A person can sink deeply, be filled with darkness, or hesitate to return to Me. Yet for all, the time will come when they feel Me within their own being, no longer feel Me as distant, and can no longer regard Me as a stranger or deny My existence, My love, and My justice. (52, 30)

5. I do not wish to see you as defendants before Me; I wish to regard you always as My children, for whom My Fatherly love is always ready to help. I created you for the glory of My Spirit, and so that you may be happy in Me. (127, 41)

6. Learn to love Me; recognize how My love follows you everywhere, despite your transgressions and sins, without you being able to escape its influence or evade it. Recognize this: the graver your transgressions, the greater My mercy toward you.

7. The wickedness of men seeks to repel My love, but it cannot prevail against it, for love is the universal force, the divine power that creates all things and moves all things.

8. The proof of all that I tell you is the proof I gave you when I revealed Myself among you in this time when humanity has lost its way in the abyss of its sin. My love cannot feel disgust for human sin, but only compassion.

9. Recognize Me, come to Me to wash away your stains in the crystal-clear spring of My mercy. Ask, ask, and it will be given to you. (297, 59-62)

10. For a moment, people believe themselves so unworthy of Me that they cannot comprehend that I can love them so deeply. And once they have resigned themselves to living far from their Father, they build a life according to their own ideas, create their own laws, and establish their religious communities. Therefore, their surprise is great when they see Me coming. Then they ask: "Does our Father really love us so much that He seeks a way to communicate with us in this manner?"

11. People, I can only tell you that I will not let what is Mine perish, and you are Mine. I loved you even before you were, and I will love you forever. (112, 14-15)

God's Care and Help

12. Disciples, I have given you all the teachings the soul needs for its development.

13. Blessed are those who recognize the truth, for they will quickly find "the Way." Others always reject the divine teachings because their works seem superior to Mine.

14. I love you all. I am the Shepherd who calls His sheep, who gathers and counts them and desires to have more each day—who nourishes and caresses them, cares for them, and rejoices when He sees that there are many, though He sometimes weeps when He sees that not all are obedient.

15. Such are your hearts: Many of you come to Me, but few are those who truly follow Me. (266, 23-26)

16. Take up your cross and follow Me in humility. Trust that—while you offer comfort to someone, bring peace to a heart, or light to a soul—I will attend to everything related to your material life, and I will neglect nothing.

17. Believe that when I speak to your spirit, I also look into your heart to discover its concerns, its needs, and its desires. (89, 6-7)

18. There are no races or tribes—no matter how uncivilized they may seem to you—not even those you do not know because they dwell in inaccessible forests—that have not experienced manifestations of My love. In moments of danger, they have heard heavenly voices that protect, guard, and counsel them.

19. You have never lived abandoned. From the very beginning, when you came into being, you have been under the shield of My love.

20. You human parents who love your children tenderly: Would you be able to abandon them to their fate when they have barely been born into this life, when they need your care, your devotion, and your love the most?

21. I have seen you worry about your children, even when they have reached adulthood; even for those who have strayed, who have hurt you, you worry with the greatest love.

22. Yet if you respond to your children's needs in this way—how much greater, then, must be the love of your Heavenly Father, who loved you even before you existed?

23. I have always come to your aid; and at this time, when I find you at a higher stage of spiritual development, I have taught you how to fight to destroy the forces of evil and how to increase the vibrations of goodness. (345, 39–42)

24. You are now entering a new phase of your life; the path has been paved. Take up your cross and follow Me. I do not tell you that there are no trials on this path; but whenever you traverse a difficult stretch of the way or drink from a cup of suffering, you will hear a voice that encourages and advises you; My love will be with you, supporting and lifting you up, and you will feel the gentle caress of My healing balm. (280, 34)

25. When I see that you allow yourselves to be overcome by pain, and that instead of drawing the lessons contained in every trial, you content yourselves with weeping, cursing, or simply waiting for death as the end of your suffering, then I draw near to you to speak lovingly to your heart, to give it comfort and hope, and to strengthen it so that it may overcome itself, its weakness, and its lack of faith, and so that it may triumph over the trials; for in this triumph lies the peace, the light, and the spiritual happiness that is true happiness. (181, 10)

26. When you consider that I am present even in the smallest beings of nature—how could I then deny you and separate Myself from you, merely because you have imperfections within you , since it is precisely then that you need Me most?

27. I am life and am in all things; therefore, nothing can die. Reflect deeply so that you do not remain bound by the wording. Calm your senses and discover Me at the core of the word. (158, 43-44)

28. Turn inward, and there you will find the sanctuary, the Ark of the Covenant. You will discover a spring, a fountain of graces and blessings.

29. There is no helpless soul; no one is disinherited. In the face of My divine mercy, there is not a single person in the entire universe who can call himself poor, cast out by his Father; none who could call himself banished from the lands of the Lord.

30. Whoever feels disinherited does so because they have not discovered the gifts of grace within themselves, or because they have strayed into sin, because they are deluded, or because they feel unworthy.

31. You must always discover these gifts of grace within yourselves; then you will experience that my presence will never be lacking to you, that "bread," "healing balm," "weapons," "keys," and everything you need will always be present within yourselves, for you are the heirs of my Kingdom and my glory. (345, 87)

32. There is a bond between the Father and the children that can never be broken, and this bond is the reason why a dialogue takes place between the Divine Spirit and all of you. (262, 35)

33. Humanity needs My love, My Word, which must reach the depths of their hearts. The Master strives tirelessly so that your souls may be enlightened more each day, that, freed from ignorance, they may rise to higher realms.

34. The gates of My Kingdom stand open, and the "Word" of the Father comes to you with infinite love to show you the way once more.

35. I have come once more to humanity, yet they have not sensed Me, for I have appeared spiritually and their materialism is great. Since your soul sprang from My Divine Spirit—why then have people not sensed Me? Because they have bound their souls to materialism, to base passions.

36. Yet here is the Lamb of God, who comes to you as light to enlighten you and bring you the truth. (340, 13-15)

The Humility of the Most High

37. Understand that My Word does not fill your minds with vain philosophies; it is the essence of life. I am not a rich man offering you worldly riches. I am the One and Only God who promises you the Kingdom of true life. I am the humble God who approaches His children without pomp to lift them up on the path of atonement with His caress and His miraculous Word. (85, 55)

38. Be My servants, and you will never be humiliated by Me.

39. Behold: I have not come as a king, nor do I bear a scepter or a crown. I am among you as an example of humility, and even more: as your servant.

40. Ask of Me, and I will give to you; command Me, and I will obey, to give you further proof of My love and My humility. I ask only that you recognize Me and do My will; and if you encounter obstacles in fulfilling your duties, pray and overcome them in My name, and your merits will be greater. (111, 46)

41. The Father speaks to you—He who has no one to bow before Him in prayer. Yet truly, I tell you, if there were anyone greater than Me, I would bow before him, for humility dwells in My Spirit.

42. Consider how you—though you are My little children—cause Me to come down to speak to you, to listen to you, and to comfort you, instead of striving to ascend to Me. (125, 19)

43. Experience in your hearts the joy of feeling loved by your Father, who has never humiliated you through His greatness, but has revealed it in His perfect humility to make you great and to lead you to rejoice in the true life of His Kingdom, which has neither beginning nor end. (101, 63)

God's compassion and shared suffering

44. If you believe that Jesus, because He was the Son of God, felt no pain, you are mistaken. If you believe that I am free from pain because I come today in the Spirit, you are likewise in error. If you think that—because I know that you will all eventually be with Me—I do not suffer today, you are also wrong in that. Truly, I tell you, there is no other being more sensitive than the Divine Spirit.

45. I ask you: Who gave all beings sensitivity? What good can you do that does not bring Me joy? And what evil can you do that is not like a wound to My sensitivity? Behold, this is the reason why I tell you that humanity has crucified Me anew. When will I be taken down from My cross and freed from the crown of thorns? (69, 34)

46. When some rise up as My enemies, I do not regard them as such, but only as those in need. I look upon those who consider themselves scholars and deny My existence with compassion. Those who seek to destroy Me in the hearts of people, I regard as ignorant, for they believe they possess the power and the weapons to destroy Him who is the Author of life. (73, 33)

47. I reveal Myself to you as a loving Father, as a humble Master, never indifferent to your sufferings and always forgiving and merciful toward your imperfections, for in My eyes you will always be children.

48. I must judge you when I see how the children, who were created with so much love and destined for eternal life, stubbornly seek death on earth, without caring for spiritual life, nor having the desire to know the perfections that that existence holds in store for them. (125, 59-60)

49. Since I am your Father, I must necessarily feel what the children feel. Only in this way will you understand that—while each of you suffers and feels your own pain—the Divine Spirit shares in the pain of all His children.

50. As proof of this truth, I came into the world to become human and to carry a cross that represented all the pain and all the sin of the world. Yet if, as a human, I bore the burden of your imperfections on my shoulders and felt all your pain—could I then, as God, show myself to be unfeeling in the face of my children's tribulations? (219, 11-12)

God's Forgiveness, Grace, and Mercy

51. I am the only One who knows the destiny of all, the only One who knows the path you have traveled and the one you must yet traverse. It is I who understand your sufferings and your joys. I know how far you have wandered in search of truth and justice. It is My mercy that receives the fearful cry of the one who inwardly asks Me for forgiveness for his transgressions.

52. And as a Father, I grant every earnest plea, gather your tears, heal your infirmities, and let you feel that you are forgiven and absolved of your sins, so that you may reshape your lives.

53. I am also the Only One who can forgive the offenses committed against Me by you, who are My children. (245, 39-41)

54. During this time, my word will enlighten you anew. I will pour out my grace in abundance so that you may be pure and graceful. But if you fall into sin again, know, O people, that it is not I who remove you from My bosom, but that it is you who turn away from Me, even though this is not My will. Yet My forgiveness and My love are like open gates, ready to receive anyone who wishes to return to Me in repentance. (283, 69)

55. In the love with which I forgive you and correct you, I make Myself known. When you lived according to your own will and thereby continually wounded the Father, I did not sever the thread of that sinful existence; I denied you neither air nor bread; I did not abandon you in your pain, nor did I turn a deaf ear to your lament. And nature continued to surround you with its fertility, its light, and its blessings. Thus I make Myself known to people and reveal Myself to them. No one on earth can love you with this love, and no one can forgive you as I do.

56. Your soul is a seed that I have nurtured and perfected from eternity until it bears the most beautiful blossoms and the most perfect fruits. How could I let you perish or abandon you to the fury of storms? How could I forsake you on your path, when I am the Only One who knows the destiny of all creatures? (242, 31-33)

57. You who walk on the wrong path: I am ready to receive you and give you My strength and My light if you call upon Me. It does not matter if you bear the mark of great sinners upon your body and soul. I will cause you to bless those who have offended you, and to bless God because He deemed that miracle possible within you. Then you will begin to feel the love of Christ in your heart.

58. Upon hearing these words, some will think: How is it possible that great sinners can receive this grace just as the righteous do, who possess it by their merits?

59. O people, people who see no further than your eyes! I have always given you My blessings out of grace, even before you deserved them.

60. I respond both to a pure thought and to the sorrowful lament of one who approaches Me in a defiled state, whenever even the smallest spark of humility or insight escapes him—due to his lack of love for his fellow human beings.

61. I am the defender of the weak who shed tears in their great helplessness and ignorance. I am the Divine Hope who calls and comforts those who weep; I am the benevolent Jesus who gently caresses those who groan in their pain and atonement.

62. I am your Savior, your Redeemer; I am the truth comprehensible to humanity. (248, 18–21)
