fr-Chapter 61 - Admonitions and Warnings of the Lord

XV. Admonitions, Warnings, Teachings
Commandments and Commissions
1. Israel, do not merely fulfill the obligations you have entered into with the world. Also fulfill the Law; for you have undertaken a task before the Father, and its fulfillment must be strict, sublime, and spiritual.
2. I teach you so that you may turn away from materialism and cease to be fanatics and idolaters; so that you may neither worship nor engage in cults involving man-made, material objects. I do not want the roots of idolatry, fanaticism, and false cults to exist in your hearts. Do not offer Me sacrifices that do not reach Me; I demand only your renewal and your fulfillment in spiritualization.
3. Renew yourselves with regard to your former habits; do not look back, and do not dwell on what you have given up and what you are no longer to do. Understand that you have set out on the path of your upward development and must not stop. The path is narrow, and you must know it well, for tomorrow you will have to lead your brothers along it, and I do not want you to lose your way.
4. I am the patient Father who waits for your repentance and your good will to shower you with My grace and My mercy. (23, 60–63)
5. My Word always counsels you toward goodness and virtue: that you not speak ill of your fellow human beings and thereby expose them to shame; that you not look upon with contempt those who suffer from illnesses you call contagious; that you not favor wars; that you do not engage in shameful occupations that destroy morality and promote vice; that you do not curse anything created, take anything belonging to others without the owner's permission, or spread superstition.
6. You shall visit the sick, forgive those who offend you, protect virtue, and be good examples; and you shall love Me and your fellow human beings, for in these two commandments the whole law is summed up.
7. Learn my lesson and teach it through your actions. If you do not learn, how will you preach my teaching? And if you do not feel what you have learned, how will you teach as good apostles? (6:25–26)
8. People, if you wish to progress, overcome the sloth that is within you. If you wish to be great, apply My principles to your works. If you wish to know yourselves, search within yourselves through My Word.
9. Understand how much you need My Word, which offers love, wisdom, counsel, and help. But at the same time, feel responsible for what I give you, for you are not the only ones in need in the world. There are many who hunger and thirst for these teachings, and you must remember to prepare yourselves to go to them with the message of My love. (285, 50-51)
10. The responsibility that this people bears toward humanity is very great. It must set an example of true spiritualization; it should demonstrate the way to offer inner religious practice, the pleasing sacrifice, and the worship worthy of God.
11. Open your hearts and hear the voice of conscience there, so that you may judge your actions and discover whether you are faithfully interpreting My teachings or whether you, too, are misunderstanding the meaning of My doctrine. (280, 73)
12. My teaching loses all its meaning if you do not put it into practice.
13. You know very well, beloved disciples, that the purpose of My law and My teaching is to do good, and that therefore whoever carries them only in memory or on the lips, without applying them to his deeds, acts contrary to his duty. (269, 45)
14. You who possess in your hearts the light of this life's experience and in your souls the light left behind by your development through various earthly lives—why does your soul concern itself with what is useless to it, and why do you often weep for reasons that do not deserve your pain? Seek the truth in all things; it is found on every path, bright and clear as the light of day. (121, 48–49)
15. Do not forget and always be aware that the faith you inspire in your fellow human beings depends on your righteous and virtuous life; that is to say, they will scrutinize and observe you even in your private life to seek confirmation in your deeds of the teaching you preach. (300, 57)
16. Tell Me: have I rejected you when you have erred? Have I left you behind, abandoned you, when some stumbling block has held you back? Have I shown Myself stern to you when, overcome by pain, you have fallen?
17. Yet I see that those whom I call My disciples with so much love abandon their fellow human beings in misfortune, reject those who stray from the right path instead of lovingly drawing them near and helping them to improve themselves , and sometimes become judges when they meddle in matters they have no right to judge.
18. Does this correspond to My teaching? No, your conscience tells Me, for I want you to judge yourselves most carefully so that you may smooth out the many rough edges that afflict your feelings, and you may begin to become My disciples. (268, 46)
Faith, Hope, Love, Humility, Confidence
19. If you are humble, you will be great. Greatness does not lie in pride and vanity, as many believe. "Be gentle and humble of heart," I have told you at all times.
20. Recognize Me as Father and love Me; seek for your physical body neither a throne nor a name that sets you apart from others. Simply be a person among other people and have good will within you. (47, 54)
21. I want to see in you the faith that the sick demonstrated who came to Me in the "Second Era"—the faith of the paralytic, the blind man, and the incurable woman. I wish to feel loved as a Father, sought after as a Healer, and listened to as a Master. (6, 46)
22. Do not grow weak in faith, nor in hope. Always keep in mind that the end of this journey of life will come. Do not forget that your origin was in Me and that the final destination will likewise be in Me, and this destination is eternity, for there is no death of the soul.
23. Let eternity be the ideal of your striving, and do not lose heart amid the ups and downs of life. Do you know, for instance, if this is your last incarnation on earth? Who could tell you that in this body you have today, you will pay off all the debts you have incurred before My justice? Therefore, I say to you: Make use of the time, but do not act rashly. If you accept your sufferings with faith and resignation and drink the cup with patience—truly, I tell you, your merits will not be in vain.
24. Ensure that the spirit always moves forward, so that you may never, ever cease to perfect yourselves. (95, 4-6)
25. Live for the Father by loving His children, who are your brothers and sisters, and you will attain immortality. If you succumb to selfishness and shut yourselves off in your self-love, the seed you leave behind will scarcely outlive your memory.
26. Be gentle and humble at heart, and you will always be filled with my grace. (256, 72-73)
27. Great is your destiny! Do not, however, let yourselves be dominated by dire omens, but rather be filled with courage and hope at the thought that the days of bitterness drawing near are necessary for the " " awakening and the purification of humanity, without which you could not experience the victorious advent of the age of spiritualization.
28. Learn to rise above adversity; do not allow despondency to take hold of your hearts, and take care of your health. Encourage the spirits of your brothers and sisters by speaking of Me and showing them My teaching, which kindles faith and hope.
29. See how despondently many people live. They are beings who have allowed themselves to be defeated in the struggle of life. See how early they have aged and turned gray, their faces withered and their expressions melancholic. Yet if those who are meant to be strong are weak, youth will wither away, and children will see only sorrow in their surroundings.
30. You, people, do not deprive your hearts of all those wholesome joys that you are permitted to enjoy, even though they are fleeting. Eat your modest bread in peace, and truly, I tell you, you will then find it more delicious and nourishing.
31. Understand from My words that what I want from you is confidence, faith, optimism, peace of mind, and strength; that despite your hardships and afflictions, there should be no bitterness in your hearts. What kindness or encouragement would you have to offer to those in need if your heart were filled with suffering, worry, or discontent?
32. It is precisely in your trials that you should set the best example of elevation, faith, and humility.
33. Whoever is able to imbue his life with this spirituality always feels peace, and even when he sleeps, his sleep is calm and restful, which the soul uses to detach itself from the body and turn toward the hereafter, where it receives those divine currents of power from which it nourishes itself and in which it allows the body to share. (292, 45-51)
Prayer, Study, Vigilance, Renewal, and Spiritualization
34. Beloved disciples, I say to you once more: Watch and pray, for the flesh is weak, and in its weaknesses it can lead the soul astray from the right path.
35. The soul that knows how to "watch" never strays from the path its Lord has laid out for it, and is capable of putting its inheritance and gifts to use until it has reached its full development.
36. This person will pass his trials because he lives vigilantly and never allows himself to be dominated by the body. Whoever watches and prays will always emerge victorious from life's crises and will walk with a firm step along the path of life.
37. How different is the behavior of one who forgets to pray and to "watch"! He voluntarily forgoes defending himself with the best weapons that I have placed within human beings, which are faith, love, and the light of knowledge. It is he who does not hear the inner voice that speaks to him through intuition, conscience, and dreams. But his heart and his mind do not understand this language and do not give credence to the message of their own spirit. (278, 1-3)
38. Pray for the confused souls, for those bound to the earth, for those within the earth who are not yet able to detach themselves from their bodies, for those who suffer and weep because of the senseless mourning that is maintained on earth for their sake.
39. Forgive also those who have sown evil in your hearts, and do not judge them any longer. If your eyes could see them, kneeling and pleading for your forgiveness, you would not be so unjust toward them. Help them to rise up into infinity; lift them up through your loving remembrance; understand that they no longer belong to this world. (107, 15)
40. You must not be content with your initial works, thinking that you have earned sufficient merit for the perfection of your soul. But so that you may learn new lessons daily and discover greater revelations, always devote some time to the study of My work.
41. The inquisitive disciple will always hear the answer to his questions and, in moments of trial, will always hear My fatherly counsel.
42. The advanced disciple will be a source of love for his fellow men; he will truly feel endowed by his Father with an inheritance and will recognize the time to set out to carry out his great spiritual mission among humanity. (280, 40–42)
43. The more you perfect yourselves, the closer you will see the goal. You do not know, however, whether you are only one step away from your salvation or whether you still have a long journey ahead of you. I tell you only that you should allow yourselves to be guided willingly and obediently by this Word, which is the voice of my Divine Spirit.
44. Take care not to violate the law, not to commit the same mistake repeatedly. Heed this call, which is an exhortation to reform—a plea that your Father addresses to you, for I do not wish to see you live in vain on earth and then weep over your disobedience. (322, 60)
45. Do not fear the talk of men nor their judgments; fear the judgment of your God. Remember that I have told you that I am relentless as a Judge. Therefore, always seek Me as Father, as God, so that you may lack nothing on your life's journey. (344, 31)
46. Do not be taken by surprise, My people. Always remain vigilant and be faithful watchmen. Do not fear the words your own brothers and sisters speak to you in an attempt to convince you that you are in error.
47. Remain steadfast, for I will bestow great rewards upon the "soldiers" who are faithful to My cause—those among you who stand against these difficult times of confusion regarding worldviews, creeds, and religions.
48. You shall hold all your fellow human beings in the same high esteem as you hold My work, and shall point to the instruction that I will once again leave with you. If people mock you, let them do so; for the light of My Holy Spirit will reach them, and then there will be repentance in their hearts. (336, 18)
49. Do not stand still, O disciples! As I have always told you, your path must remain firmly on the way of goodness and progress, for there will come times when only goodness will help humanity forward, when only virtue and truth will sustain them on the path of struggle and conflict.
50. The days are drawing nearer when deceit will come to an end, when falsehood, hypocrisy, selfishness, and every evil seed will meet their end through severe afflictions, downfalls, and blows.
51. Therefore, the Master says to you: Grow ever stronger in goodness! Be convinced, My people, that you cannot receive evil for the good you do. If you reap an evil fruit or an evil reward for the good you do on earth, that evil fruit is temporary; it is not the final fruit, I tell you in truth. One must remain steadfast until one reaps. (332, 31)
Warnings Addressed to the Revelation Congregations
52. Woe to him who interprets My Word as he pleases, for he will be accountable to Me for it.
53. On earth, many people have devoted themselves to distorting the truth, unaware of the responsibility they bear as co-workers in the Father's work of love.
54. In this time of judgment, which many do not recognize because they do not know how to interpret the events they are experiencing, judgment resides within every soul and, during its pilgrimage on this earth, calls it to account for its deeds both within and outside the Law of Love.
55. Whoever should alter the meaning of my revelations in these writings, which were given through inspiration, will be accountable to Me for his actions.
56. Therefore, you must act with integrity, for these teachings are My legacy of love for My children, who, whether incarnate or in spirit, await more detailed instructions. (20, 12-14)
57. I do not wish to see any falsehood in you, Israel, for one day it will be discovered, and then the world will say: "Are these the disciples of the Master? If they are false disciples, then the Master who dwelt among them to impart falsehoods to them was also false." (344, 10)
58. You are the ones commissioned to alleviate the pain of people, to teach those who blaspheme to pray, who have long remained without the elevation of their souls in prayer.
59. But to do this, you must become more spiritual every day and free yourselves from materialism.
60. For I do not want you to be overzealous spiritualists, no. Fanaticism is abhorrent in My eyes, and that is what I wish to eliminate among you. Your conscience will tell you how to live in harmony with all things. (344, 17-18)
61. Hear Me, people; listen, disciples: I am currently giving you the light and freeing you from chains, bonds, and darkness. Yet I do not authorize you to turn this work into yet another religion, nor to fill it, as is customary, with images and rites—no!
62. Recognize exactly what the freedom I bring you consists of, so that you do not replace it with a new fanaticism.
63. Have you not yet realized that your mind—and with it your soul—has been held back in its development? Do you not remember the flood of false fears and prejudices inherited from your ancestors, from which I have freed you so that you may see the truth unobscured and receive the light? (297, 20–21)
64. The soil will be moist and receptive in anticipation of the seed of My sowers, and here it is fitting that you reflect once upon the responsibility of these sowers. Would it be right for this people, once humanity is free from fanaticism and senseless worship, to come up with a new form of idolatry? No, beloved disciples and students. That is why there are lessons and trials at every step along your path. (292, 44)
Warning against the continuation of revelations after 1950 and false "Christ revelations"
65. After the day set by My Divinity, you will no longer hear My Word. But it will be written down in your spirit, in your heart, and in the books.
66. Whoever thereafter sets himself up as a voice and calls upon My ray does not know the judgment he is passing upon himself.
67. I warn you so that you may not give heed to false prophets, false spokesmen, and false "Christuses." I am awakening you so that you may avoid confusion in time and prevent the intrusion of spirits of darkness among you. Watch, for you will have to give account to Me for these teachings if you are not prepared. (229, 40-41)
68. This is already the final period in which I will be with you in this form. Believe this, and also believe that I will not return to this world to make My Word audibly heard in a material sense, and even less so to become human.
69. Arm yourselves, for rumors will reach you from people who claim that I have returned, that Christ has come to earth. You must then remain faithful and say with conviction: "The Lord is spiritually with all His children."
70. But if you should slumber and fail to spiritualize yourselves, you will deny that I withdrew My Word; and having become blasphemers and disobedient, you will invoke My ray upon the multitudes of people and say to them: "Let us ask Him who gave us His Word that He may continue to speak to us. Let us offer Him songs and hymns so that He may hear us."
71. But truly, I tell you: My Ray will no longer return to human understanding, for I will not support your folly.
72. What should you expect? That the words of apparent light will plunge you into confusion. Is this not what your heart desires? Then prepare yourselves for that trial, and upon your obedience and humility the light of My inspiration will shine down.
73. I announce to you that if the unification of these communities into a single people does not take place before 1950, confusion will reign very soon, for there will be those who claim that the Master continues to reveal Himself, and then woe to that people! Have you not yet sensed this threat?
74. That spirit of brotherhood and unity has still not awakened within you, and you expect that it will be events that unite you. But if you expect this, you will instead witness the outbreak of epidemics, disorder, wars, and the judgment of the forces of nature, until there is no longer any place of peace in the world—neither on the earth's surface nor within it, neither on the sea nor in the air. (146, 24–26)
75. You must prepare yourselves, so that whenever you are gathered—whether in these community centers, in your homes, or out in nature—you will spiritually feel My presence at these gatherings.
76. But be on guard, for false disciples will also appear, proclaiming that they are in direct communication with the Father, and conveying false instructions and inspirations.
77. I have taught you to distinguish truth from deception, to recognize the tree by its fruit. (260, 65–66)
78. I have foretold to you that the time will come when you will see many "spiritualisms" emerge, and that you must then be trained to discern which are based on truth and which on deception.
79. You will see false proclamations arise that are attributed to Me; rumors of divine messengers bringing messages to the world; sects bearing the name of the Seven Seals, and many confusing and ambiguous teachings.
80. All of this will be the result of the great spiritual confusion that humanity has brought upon itself. But do not be anxious; rather, ensure that you live in vigilance and prayer, and you will not succumb to spiritual confusion, for My Word will be a light in the moments of greatest darkness, enabling you to see My crystal-clear and eternal truth. (252, 15–17)
Vices, Hypocrisy, Depravity
81. Vanity has taken root in those who, believing they have attained full knowledge of the truth, have considered themselves learned, strong, infallible, great, and absolute, without realizing that they have often been mistaken.
82. I do not want it to be that, among this people who are just beginning to form themselves under the light of these teachings, people will appear tomorrow who—confused by their vanity—proclaim that they are the reincarnation of Christ or the new Messiahs.
83. Those who commit such acts will be those who believe they have attained an understanding of my entire truth, but in reality are straying far from the path marked out by Christ, which is the path of humility.
84. Study the life of Jesus on earth, and you will find a profound and unforgettable lesson in humility. (27, 3-6)
85. One of the gravest character flaws is that of hypocrisy. Do not speak loudly of love as long as you are not capable of loving Me in your fellow human beings.
86. How many of those who condemned Judas' kiss refuse to acknowledge that they have given their brother the kiss of feigned brotherhood and have betrayed him behind his back! How many of those who claim to serve the needy do I see bringing light, truth, and charity for money.
87. Why, when someone has intimidated you with his questions, have you acted like Peter in his moments of weakness, denying Me and claiming that you never even knew Me? Why do you fear human judgment and not Mine?
88. But truly, I tell you, between Divine Justice and your sins stands the intercession of Mary, your Heavenly Mother, who always prays for you. (75, 34)
89. No one has the right to judge the actions of their fellow human beings, for if the one who is pure does not do so—why should the one who bears blemishes in his heart be allowed to do so?
90. I tell you this because you are constantly intent on scrutinizing your brother's work, hoping to find faults in it, so that you may then show him your own work and humiliate him by telling him that your work is purer and more perfect.
91. The only Judge who knows how to weigh your works is your Father, who dwells in heaven. When He appears with His scales, in His eyes it will not be the one who understands more who will have greater merit, but the one who knew how to be a brother to his fellow men and a child of his Lord. (131, 55–57)
92. Learn and act, teach and be mindful of what you do and say; confirm My teaching through your works. I do not want hypocrites among My disciples. Consider what would become of humanity and of yourselves if this work, founded with so much love and patience, were to be brought down by a lack of morality, virtue, and truthfulness in your lives. (165, 25)
93. Do not run after the pleasures or frivolities of the world any longer. Follow the ideal of living a blameless life, for I will give you throughout your entire existence those satisfactions that are a source of inspiration for your heart. (111, 61)
94. Woe to you if evil inclinations prove stronger than the virtues you possess in your soul, and if My teaching bears no fruit! If you do not reflect upon My Word and ponder it, yet believe that you are fulfilling My will, My light will awaken you. But when you recognize the whole truth, you will remember that I sent you into the world to do charitable works. (55, 6)
95. Woe to those who, in this time, through their wickedness and disobedience, set a bad example for the children whom I have sent to earth with a spiritual missi ! Do you wish to be like the crowd that led Jesus to Golgotha amid shouts and mockery, thereby sowing terror in the hearts of the children, who could not understand why a man who only bestowed blessings was being tortured and killed?
96. Every time Jesus fell, those innocent ones wept. But truly, I tell you, their weeping sprang more from the spirit than from the flesh. How many of them later followed Me and loved Me, without the memory of what their innocent eyes had witnessed ever being erased from their hearts. (69, 50-51)
False Penance and False Expectations
97. Beware of performing misguided acts of penance, and do not deprive your body of what it needs. Instead, spare it from what is harmful to it, even if it means a sacrifice for it. This will be the penance that serves your soul and is therefore pleasing to the Father. (55, 40)
98. You already see in God less a judge than the Father of perfect and inexhaustible love, and I tell you that it is good that you see your Father in God.
99. Nevertheless, I must tell you, to keep you alert, that you too, like that ancient people, can fall into a new error, and this error may consist in your failing to strive to improve yourselves morally and spiritually, or in your not worrying about sinning continually and gravely, trusting that the Father is above all love and will forgive you.
100. Certainly, God is love, and there is no offense, no matter how grave, that He does not forgive. But you must know for certain that from this divine love springs a justice that is unyielding.
101. Be fully aware of all this, so that what you have taken into yourselves as an understanding of My teaching may correspond to the truth, and so that you may dispel all erroneous notions that might exist within you.
102. Do not forget that although the Father's love forgives you, the stain remains imprinted on your soul—despite forgiveness—and that you must wash it away through good deeds, thereby living up to the love that forgave you. (293, 43–44)
103. A voice has awakened you, a kind and comforting voice that calls you into the realm of light and life, but which can turn into justice if you choose to continue degrading your soul and disregarding the law.
104. To the obedient and humble, my word says: Remain steadfast, for you will receive much of my grace and will accomplish much for your brothers and sisters.
105. To the foolish, my voice says: If you do not take advantage of this blessed opportunity to escape the filth of sin or the darkness of ignorance in which you live, you will see times and ages pass over your soul without ever knowing what the Lord brought in His message, nor what spiritual gifts He revealed to His people.
106. Indeed, there will be a suitable time for all to save themselves and soar to the heights. But woe to him who delays that day! Woe to him who misses the opportunities to achieve the development of his soul because he has devoted himself to the vanities of this world! He does not know how long the time will be in which he must wait for a new opportunity, nor does he know the bitterness of his atonement.
107. In this lies not the slightest retribution or the mildest punishment on the part of the Father, but rather His strict and inexorable justice.
108. Do you know today, now that I have come among you, whether you have not already missed or left unused earlier opportunities, and do you know the length of time your soul has waited to receive this new opportunity to fulfill a mission entrusted to you long ago?
109. What does your heart or your mind know of your soul's past, of its destiny, its debts, its tasks, and its acts of atonement? Nothing!
110. Therefore, you must not interrupt the soul's perfection, nor lead it into temptation through love for the goods of the world. It must follow a different path, different goals, different ideals. (279, 16-19)
Warning to the Nations and the Powerful of the Earth
111. Woe to mankind if mercy and active charity do not finally spring forth in their hearts! Woe to mankind if they do not finally attain full awareness of their evil deeds! Their own hand unleashes the fury of the forces of nature upon them and attempts to pour out the cup of pain and bitterness upon the nations. Even when they reap the result of their deeds, some will still say: "It is God's punishment." (57, 82)
112. Woe to the peoples who stubbornly cling to their idolatry, their fanaticism, and their traditions! They will not be able to see My light, nor will they feel the infinite joy of the soul's awakening.
113. My teaching will indeed shake the world. But when the struggle is over, true peace will be felt on earth—the peace that springs from my Spirit. Only the foolish, the stubborn, and the hard-hearted will continue to suffer. (272, 12–13)
114. I make Myself felt in the hard hearts of men—those who intend to stir up wars—so that they may recognize that My will is stronger than their warlike intentions. If the hearts of those men remain hard and cannot be swayed by My will, My justice will be felt throughout the entire globe. (340, 33)
115. Once again, as in the days of Noah, people will mock the prophecies, and only when they feel the floodwaters already burying their bodies will they begin to believe and repent.
116. My mercy always sought to restrain you in your recklessness, yet you never would listen to Me. Sodom and Gomorrah were likewise warned so that they might feel fear and repentance and avoid their destruction. Yet they would not listen to My voice and perished.
117. I also called upon Jerusalem to pray and return to the true worship of God. But its unbelieving and carnal heart rejected My fatherly admonition and had to be convinced of the truth through the events that unfolded. How bitter those days were for Jerusalem!
118. Do you now recognize the truth that you are still the same? For you have not wanted to leave your spiritual childhood behind in order to grow and ascend along the path of wisdom found in My Word.
119. I send this message to all of you, which is to serve as a prophecy to awaken and alert peoples and nations. Blessed are you if you believe in its content.
120. Reflect on its meaning, but watch and pray afterward, for if you do this, an inner light will guide you and a higher power will protect you until you are safe. (325, 73-77)
